Extension and Alteration of Existing Dwelling to create Additional Living Space
The brief for this extension was to create a space which would make the most of the view over the Avon valley. The large areas of glass and cathedral ceiling combined with a split-level floor achieved this desired effect.
The extension provides a Garden Room on the North-facing gable of the existing house, with North-facing glazing to maximise natural light while framing the dramatic views across the countryside beyond. Timber detailing to the new gable supports a rural aesthetic to suit the building's setting within a traditional steading. The extension is complete with access onto a newly paved garden.
