Terrace of New-Build Self-Catering Cottages for Bonsyde Hotel
 

This row of new-build cottages occupies a site to the North of Linlithgow Loch, high on a hill overlooking the town and Linlithgow Palace. The site was originally occupied by a Function Room related to the adjacent Bonsyde Hotel. When the Function Room fell into disuse and disrepair the Planning Department allowed the cottages to be built provided they occupied exactly the footprint of the original building.

EKJN's design provides 4-star cottages in a tessellating plan: four 2-beds and one 3-bed cottage, with traditional detailing which is sympathetic to the style and aesthetics of the adjacent listed hotel.
